The latest addition to the family
Say hello to Max, a four year-old male silver ferret. He's a big 'un, too: longer and heavier than Ouzo, and both are at a good, healthy weight. aliencrabcakes, B, and I met him at the Big Lick Ferret Shelter two weeks ago. We'd already read about Max and a few of the other ferts on the shelter's adoptables page. Max was just as friendly and laid back as his description said.
On Saturday Shannon, the shelter operator, brought Max to my house. After some initial (and expected) hesitance and dominance wrestling, Max and Ouzo were tolerating each other. By Sunday night they were playing. Yesterday morning I was surprised to find them sleeping on the same level of the cage. This morning I was delighted to see this. Naturally I ran for the camera. :)
All in all things are going swimmingly. Yay!
