Ugh!

So I called United to schedule my next flight down to VA. My flight up here Monday night was the first half, and we decided to have my return flight to VA be the Friday before the SuperBowl, then Dave and I can drive up here together and he'll drive home the morning after the game.

Anyway - I knew there were two possible flights that I wanted - the times and numbers and everything. So I called customer service - sat on hold for a good 40 minutes and then finally got connected to a rep. It was a really poor connection so I made sure to repeat myself a lot - I kept saying, Friday, February 2nd, and she kept confirming it.

Anyway, the flight she booked me on wasn't either of the ones that I had written down. And she said it left NY at 4:07, which didn't make a lot of sense to me, since one of the ones I did have written down left at 4:20. It's not exactly a huge airport and United wouldn't have two flights going to the same exact place leaving within 15 minutes of each other. But whatever - she's the one that gets paid to do this right?

After we hung up I went online to double check that I didn't make a mistake and that the flight was a good one.

It's not.

She has me leaving on Feb 22, not Feb 2. For the record, Feb 22 is not a Friday, it's a Thursday.

So now I'll have to call back and try and get everything straightened out. It's even more of a pain because they won't recognize my Mileage Plus number because it's under Oldlastname and this flight is under Newlastname. We'll just ignore the fact that it's been over a month since I sent out my request for them to change it along with a copy of the marriage certificate. I asked about that too and they told me the only advice they could offer was for me to resend.

Ugh.

What a pain in the neck.

Also - let's everyone keep their fingers crossed for me that my new passport shows up in the next two weeks before my meeting in the UK. Otherwise I'm not sure what I'll do.

I want to retire.
