This must be a Thursday, I could never get the hang of Thursdays.

ooc: Why is everyone assuming Dizi's young? Or are we just assuming she looks it? She's in her early thirties, shit people!

ic: With a soft groan of frustration, Diziara stormed out of the turbolift and headed for her quarters. 'As much as I hated the structure Remington shoved me into, there were advantages of working on a ship like that. First of all, working with a competent crew,' Diziara thought to herself pacing down the corridor past her neighbors' lofts.

"While I may have a problem with authority, I can at least get my beQa' job done on time, unlike the worthless petaQ who usually get thrown onto this fucking bucket of bolts for those who irritate the Admirals with a ghay'cha' stick up their ass," Diziara was muttering at full force as she palmed the entrance into her quarters. Being in the rush she'd been that morning, she'd forgotten to take the time to secure everything before leaving. When she'd arrived without breakfast, only having caught her breath on the turbolift ride up after the mad dash out of her quarters, and found that the officer she was to report to hadn't even bothered to be there on time... not to mention that she was the only one who found this peculiar.

When he finally showed up two hours later, Diziara was glad she'd forced herself to leave her d'k tahg in her quarters because she was certain she would have skinned the bastard when he blew her off for glorified coffee drinking as he hmmed and hawed over PADDs of what appeared to be porn. She took a moment to calm herself down, then had to take that moment five more times before she could walk over him without the overwhelming urge to kill him with her bare hands. Even after she'd calmed herself down some, she did make a scene as she proceeded to explain to him that she had a problem with authority, especially those who don't bother to do their job correctly, and that she was reporting for duty and she wanted her assignment now. He looked at her a moment, then looked at one of the PADDs that didn't contain porn. This was quickly handed over to a crewman who'd been hovering on the edge of her vision during the whole event.

"This way ma'am. Let me show you to your station," the little dirty blonde human said to her and gently put a hand on her forearm. She let go of the lt. commander she had just officially reported to, and followed the man who looked like he couldn't be any more than 19 or 20 at best. By the time she'd been settled in, she'd been dropped into Ops as she expected, she'd nick named the guy Mouse and decided he was the only one on the command staff she'd met so far she could respect... and he wasn't even part of the command staff, however he seemed to run all of it. He seemed relieved to have another person who was actually willing to do their job, and made her wonder what the hell he was doing on this hell hole.

The crying of an irritated feline brought Diziara back to current time, and caused her to duck down and scoop up Delilah before she managed to make it through the now closing door. This resulted in the writhing and yowling of the four legged fur covered queen of all she could see, but Diziara held her tight until the door was firmly shut.

"Oh hush you, you're not allowed out of the quarters because you give me a head ache when you go and wander like that," Diziara told Delilah as she let her down. Delilah went and scratched at the doors some, before giving up and sitting in front of her food dish. Diziara had already started to shed her uniform at this time, and was just about halfway free of the torturous garment when Delilah let out another yowl. "I know you're hungry, but I need to get comfortable first... be patient and I'll have food for you, babe." Diziara hushed her. Delilah shot a look, but was silent. Diziara didn't bother to put anything else on after removing her uniform, since she didn't expect anyone to be showing up and didn't plan to be hitting the bar tonight, after the mess she'd gotten involved in last night.

After setting out another dish of chicken for Delilah, Diziara dove into the boxes and bags she had to unpack. Somewhere in one of them was her copy of the replicator programming for Delilah's normal cat food, since she couldn't just keep feeding her chicken because it would lead to a more spoiled feline than already was the case. Clothing ended up on the bed as other items slowly started to find homes. The person who'd used the place last had installed shelves on the wall that was common with her only connected neighbor. Diziara had specifically asked for the vacant unit that only had one connected unit... less people to offend. It'd irritated her that even though only about half the space was occupied in this section, it seemed that everyone had placed themselves so that there was only a single empty unit buffering them each... but no one had taken either of the end units. The one by the turbolift was understandable, since it would get the most traffic going by. At least the other end unit was still vacant, so she able to take it and not have to worry about both walls having people to get offended over her activities. The bed was also against the wall that didn't have a neighbor, so that suited her fairly well...

As she'd finally started to get things to feel relatively comfortable, there was a chime from the door. Diziara scrunched her brow and looked for something to throw on quickly as she wondered who could be coming by. She grabbed a fairly simply dark blue tank top dress from the pile of clothing she'd tossed across her bed, then pulled it on.

"Who is it?" she asked as she walked across the room to the door. Delilah made a dash underfoot, and Diziara scooped her up.

"Your new neighbor, I decided I'd stop by and see who was occupying one of the nice empty units next to me," a male voice said from the other side of the door. Diziara hit the button to let him in, then quickly made sure that both arms were occupied holding Delilah in her grasp.

"Excuse the half unpacked mess, but please come in... I don't know if I can keep her back too long," Diziara said stepping back to allow the person standing in front of her to come in. Delilah narrowed her eyes and twisted within Diziara's grasp as the stranger walked past. He seemed human, dark haired, from what Diziara could tell... but she also got the idea of something different. She was used to it enough though, too many species look human but aren't.

"My name's Sidrash," he introduced himself. Diziara let Delilah jump to the floor as the door closed all the way again.

I'm Diziara, and that's Delilah," Diziara replied and nodded toward the frustrated feline sitting in front of the door. "She likes to be addressed as her royal highness or queen delilah." Diziara added with a grin. Delilah shot a look at Diziara before she walked away from the door and decided to jump from the table to one of the shelves on the wall.
