Livejournal Year In Review, 2007
January: What I learn from this, every year, is that I quote other people a lot. I think because the brain is an open interface, a shared organ, maybe the only one we have, and we all form a sort of gestalt consciousness (where "we all" is everyone that anyone involved is aware of). ♥
February: There's a "review throttle" on fanfiction.net! It only allows you to submit one review every thirty seconds! Any more than that and it "throttles" you back! I think that's so adorable! ♥
March: "Oh, yeah, I really want a shirt that's called coral bisque. One, I'm pretty sure that's illegal, and two, what?" --marcicat
April: "I had this moment today where my life made sense. Not for a long time, you know, ten minutes or so. It comes and goes. Mostly goes." --starandrea
May: "I can usually only hear the cacophony in people, whereas you hear the music in them, and that is a precious thing about you." --the_xtina
June: "Tonight, the first place Red Sox take on the last place Yankees at Fenway Park."
July: "Operation Arrowhead Ripper? What does that even mean? Is our new strategy to attack the terrorists with nonsense words? 'We're gonna rip their arrowheads. Then, we're gonna piledrive their... cookieboxes. And bitch-slap their swim noodles!' They literally won't be able to describe what hit them." --Jon Stewart, "The Daily Show"
August: In any given moment, I am fulfilling my whole potential. No excuses, no recriminations. As important as it is to look ahead with hope, it is equally important to look back with forgiveness and understanding.
September: Lately it seems to me that there's no reason to waste time trying to get along with everyone we meet (or, conversely, to hold grudges). There are so many people on Earth; it's great to be on the lookout for the ones we really enjoy and learn from and can teach and provide enjoyment for in return--just the way we are. If we click, great; if not, let's move on and try again.

November: "Oh, of course! They could shoot the house from space! That's how it could all burst into flames at once! It's fun writing an action-adventure story. 'Abruptly...'" --marcicat
December: Also, I used to think I wanted a career, until I realized I don't because I already have one. Writing is so obviously my purpose in life. All I'm really looking for are people to socialize with while I do it!
