A/N: :D this was originally part of the iTunes fic challenge I had done but this one (along with a lot others XD) ended up being more than drabbles...
Onew could remember the last time he saw her, those beautiful brown eyes that shined whenever she smiled where now shut, tears flowing. He felt a pain in his heart and he wanted to go up to her and hug her but his mother was hurrying down the hall through the security checkpoint and soon all he could hear was her crying as he was rushed to the airplane and into the sky.
Her voice haunted him till he was lulled asleep by the soft rumbling of the plane.
“Hyoyeon!”
Hyo turned her head, to meet face-to-face Jessica one of her best friends.
“Ah Jessica…” she said a bit startled,
“Have you heard?” Jessica was the secret gossip queen of school nothing scandalous or interesting didn’t pass her ears.
“Heard what?” Hyoyeon asked.
Jessica sighed and shook her head.
“Never mind. It’s best to give you a surprise.” She said as she winked and walked away.
‘Well that was strange’ Hyoyeon thought as she walked into her classroom and took her seat.
She reached into her pencil bag for her eraser but found only pencils and a double-color pen.
‘I must have forgotten to put it back in my bag after I finished my home work!’ she turned to the person next to her, Sooyoung and asked her if she could borrow her eraser.
“Sooyoung can I borrow you eraser for a second?” she asked.
“Sure” Sooyoung replied in a deep voice.
‘She sure had a deep voice today, I wonder if she has a cold’ Hyoyeon thought as she picked up the eraser to use it.
‘Wait a minute-‘ she thought.
Hyoyeon turned her head to see Onew, her childhood crush stare at her with that perfect smile of his.
“O-Onew.” She gasped covering her mouth with her hands.
“Hey.” He replied shyly.
“Wh-why are you here?” she asked.
Onew just smiled heavenly.
“My parents decided to move back, my dad got a better job offer here.” He fiddled with his hair, it was a habit he did when he was nervous.
She giggled a bit, he may have looked older, more mature and good looking but he was still the same on the inside.
Happy that she was laughing and given confidence by her joy Onew started up a conversation and before they each knew it the morning bell had rung and more students started to flow into the classroom.
Sooyoung wanted to protest at Onew to get her seat back but remained silent, Jessica with some persuasion (kicking a guy out of his seat) moved her next to her so they could talk about the two all through class.
Hyoyeon didn’t pay attention to her teacher at all she was too busy talking to Onew through out the lesson; during the break they shared a snack together,
“You know, Hyo” Onew said as they sat outside.
“Hmm?” She responded,
“I was scared at first to comeback because I thought you would have already found someone or that you wouldn’t even remember me at all…” He said shyly looking down at his feet.
Hyoyeon smiled and reached for her bag, she got out her wallet and showed him a picture.
There where to kids smiling like idiots, sitting next to each other, holding hands. A girl with brown eyes that showed all of her emotion, she had long, soft, shiny brown hair and a boy whose smile could light even the darkest of rooms and eyes that would make even the saddest, loneliest people believe in love again.
“This is from the last time we were together….” She paused,
“Before you moved. I’ve kept this with my every day for the last five years.” She smiled at him; he began to play with his hair nervously again.
“I would never forget you.”
