Heat

Pairing: Booth/Brennan

Disclaimer: I don’t own Bones. The writers, producers, directors actors, etc do. I’m just borrowing them for a little while.
Rating: Ehhh…. PG-13

Note: This drabble is based on the sentence I wrote for ‘Heat’ in my 50 prompts sentence thing, which you can find in my profile/under ‘Bones’ in my fic lj, starandgalaxy.

The first time they spent the night together was on an unusually hot September night. They’d worked late into the night, pouring over file after file of information til their eyes were red, and their backs were stuck in half bent over positions. But they cracked the especially hard case, and despite their weariness, had celebrated by sharing a slice of apple pie at an all night diner that they often frequented.

It had been Booth’s suggestion to continue the celebrations back at his place with a few beers and the rerun of the baseball game that he’d missed earlier that night.

One beer had lead to two… three… four, and then a stumbling embrace had lead to the pair of them falling, entangled onto his unmade bed.

It wasn’t until the middle of the night that the air conditioning ground to a halt, and she awoke to the pitch black of his room, sweat trickling down her back.

Her face was crushed against his chest, the hot air was pressing against her naked skin almost as heavy as his arm was weighing her down…. and she smiled.
