Scott and I Are Finally Engaged
I know this may come as a shock to my faithful LJ readers, whom I do not see, but as of February 25 Scott and I are officially engaged. Sorry about the fuzzy picture of my beautiful engagement ring, but I am only so computer and camera savvy. We picked the ring out January 10 and waited a week for sizing and then he made me wait after that. I think he thoroughly enjoyed torturing me! Oh well, I'll think of something to get him back with later. We won't be married for another year or so, but that is ok with me because I am still working on being established as an adult. For those of you who are curious, Scott and I will be together (officially) for 10 months March 17 (my mom was engaged after 6 months although she was 21). She thinks I am too young, but I don't because being engaged means that you are serious and committed and not still "Playing around" with relationships. Weird to imagine little anti-love me has found myself engaged. He really is my other half and we do seem to complete each other nicely. I guess (from reading past entries) that I had just given up on the possibility of me every finding the kind of relationship I was looking for and that is why I thought that love didn't exist. I guess I was just trying to fool myself so I wouldn't feel so disappointed in myself for my impatience. I guess the saying "Good things happen to those who wait" is correct in this instance and for those of you still trying to find love, don't look for it. You may not find love, but love will find you and most likely in unexpected places. I'll have to read past entries to see how much I had talked about Scott being an unexpected "place." I'll update you all for further dates so you'll know when to start taking dance lessons. LOL!
