5 Days And Counting Till New Orleans
Yes you heard me. Over Spring Break I'm going to be going to New Orleans for a mission trip with my church. New Orleans isn't the only place where people are going, other troups are going to Memphis, Chicago, Nashville, St. Louis, and I'm not sure where else off the top of my head. This was a big relief, since I raised $210 of the $300 that I needed my parents paid the rest of the way for me to go even though their still a bit hesitant about me going to New Orleans.
I personally can't wait, I'm real excited and I know we're going to be doing some good work there. I don't know what all we're doing, but I do know that we're going to need to be flexible with what we're asked to do. We had to go to all the church services yesterday and what was awesome is that we got standing ovations from the morning services. There are over 250 college students from my church who're giving up their spring breaks to go to these inner-urban cities to evangelize and to do good work. I know my trip will mainly be a relief trip, but thats ok.
I know we're probably going to get alot of 'Why are you here? Why're you giving up your spring break to be here?' comments but we know how to answer. I'm very excited and I'll keep you posted before I leave.
