She was aware that Spock was Vulcan, but she didn't neglect the fact that he was also half human. This was how she lured him in: an extra sway to her hips, a strategic movement.
But it was the unconscious things she did that attracted him more, the actions, decisions ingrained to her personality- her intelligence, wit, stubbornness, compassion, love for language and new things. And it was so clear to Spock that she never once judged him for what species he was or wasn't.
So when Uhura made a tentative move, the decision to reciprocate was a surprisingly easy one.

Nyota lays between sleep and guilt. Too much to drink, conflicting emotions got her here in the first place. She isn't sure what keeps her in it still. She relaxes back into his chest, soaking up heat from his hand on her stomach, the skin of her back pressed against him. She thinks maybe she gets something with the good doctor that she doesn't get with Spock, the compassion and spontaneity that makes sex fun.
After, naked bodies tired, she wonders how she lives with herself. How she continues her relationship with Spock. But mostly, she wonders how he doesn't know.
