The Verdict
The actual birthday day sucked a lot of ass. I didn't sleep well last night and that wore on me as the day progressed. I was very much hurt and angered by someone (no one on lj, fyi). I talked to my dad for awhile. Our conversations usually revolve around the state of the family, so I'm sure you can imagine that is never a walk in the park. I was surprised that my mom actually called. It was a Dr. Jekyll performance from her today.
What really sucks is when you don't hear from certain people on your birthday, especially when you know you really should. It's hard not to be offended when you don't. However, on that note, I wanna thank Cheryl, who I hadn't heard from in quite sometime for her message. It was a minor thing but it meant a lot. So thanks Cher, and I really do miss you a lot.
The evening turned around and the highlight of my day easily was getting to see and spend some time with Jessie for the first time in about 3 months. It was very cool that she invited me for some hot tub action, and that was a lot of fun. I really needed that, so thank you very much for that Jess. But more than that, I just enjoyed being around her again. She has a very comforting presence and is just so genuine. I hope to see her again sooner than in another three months.
To everyone who made this birthday about as good as it realistically good have been, thank you much. I love you guys, even if it isn't always obvious.
