Ok so I've been on hiatus. As you know, I'm an undergrad in Uni now so I haven't had the most free time. I shall catch up on things later. What's more important is that I've now been back in the US for 48 hours. Im here for the holidays. I've really come to some deeper emotions though.

. I flew from Heathrow to JFK and was met with the ever so annoying Brooklyn and NJ accent. Oh how I long for British accents. Anyways, the wait at immigration was stupid. Security guard told us what line to go in, but mine quit moving, so people who had been behind me got through before me in other lines. When the guy behind me asked if he could switch the guard gave him attitude and looked at me and said “What’s the rush?” Well to get our damn luggage of course! I hated JFK. The most retarded layout of an airport I’ve ever seen. Each terminal is far apart…too far for me to have walked with my luggage, so I had to take the Air Train. Of course there weren’t any signs telling me which line to get on, and I could’ve wound up in fucking Brooklyn. Awesome. The only way I found out which terminal I needed to get to for American Airlines was after hunting down a woman to ask. Also, it’s gay at JFK because even if you have a connecting flight there you HAVE to pick up your luggage and re-check it yourself. Grr. So after making my way to terminal 8 for my connecting flight, I struggled to find the right desk for American Eagle. I proceeded to walk into the que, where another security guy for AA asked me what flight I was on, and told me to do self check in instead. He then made the rude comment that I could wait for normal check in if I was an idiot and wanted to wait in line. Ok…so I hurried off to self check-in, where I had to then shelf out $40 for my luggage. If I had checked in at the counter I might’ve been able to avoid the charge, because in the past when I’ve mentioned I had originated on a BA flight, AA would waiver the luggage fees. Ok so I’m -$40.I then wait oh I dunno…45 min in line for the security check. At terminal 5 at Heathrow I waited only about 15. So when it was finally time for me to get on the plane I happily boarded first as to get my ass settled. I was so happy when they said it was only an hour flight from there to Pittsburg. But what I was met with instead an hour of sitting on the runway waiting for our turn to take off. WTF JFK? I’ve been in worse at Heathrow and at least they get it settled. There were fucking planes who qued up after us on the runway next to us, and they were still taking off before us.
So for lack of a better word, JFK, you suck ass. I wanted to fly through there as to save time but instead you made my life hellish. Considering you are an Intl. airport, you think you’d have things better organized for your Intl. arrivals, who after a 7 hour flight really just want to take a break and relax. Grr.

I shall continue my experience on my return home in my next entry which will focus more on my feelings of returning to the US of A after being in England for so long.
