Deadly Freeport Road Crash Under Investigation
(KDKA) O'HARA TOWNSHIP A 21-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in O’Hara Township.
The man was apparently speeding down Freeport Road this morning when he crossed the center line and hit an SUV head on.
“I was taking out my garbage and heard a bang. As soon as the bang went off, [I] turned around and saw the two cars all over the road,” said Neil Ofliesh who witnessed the collision.
He says he saw the young male driver lying on the side of the road bleeding profusely.
Ofliesh then ran to find the other driver among the wreckage, badly injured.
There were two dogs in the woman’s SUV. One of them died.
The woman was taken to UPMC Presbyterian.
Freeport Road was shut down just north of Powers Run Road while county officials investigated.
