So, it's been about a million years since I've been here. But I got a survey from LiveJournal saying "What can we do to make you come back!?" and since I answered "Get my friends to come back!" I thought I should see if any friends were still around

OMG, I KNOW. I just found you on AO3 the other day and am trying really hard not to read Firebirds at work right now. (Since I spent all day yesterday re-reading the Outsiders Arc and Pantheon and OMG that is still so good. Like I've read so much fic since and it's still so complicated and rich and just the best, Alicia.)

I'm so behind on the comics now, though. Any highlights I should pick up at the local store to catch back up on our faves?

Sam is a DADDY!?!? OMG, I am emotionally compromised. Why is there no comic book shop on campus??? I need these issues NOW.

Apparently SDCC had a panel about fic with all these authors who did the serial number thing and made it. That makes it totally a legit thing now, right? :) I'm actually quite fascinated by pastiches at the moment-- That is, writing Sherlock Holmes fanfic of stories that are in the public domain so it's publishable. I actually won a pastiche contest last year hosted by the Sherlock Holmes Society of Toronto. That was a lot of fun, but still, the idea of churning out a novel at our old pace just makes me tired at the moment. The internet is so much more distracting now!

Let me know if you decide to Tumbl so I can follow you. :) It's really hard to communicate on there, but it can be fun for some stuff. Especially around comic con when promo trailers/pics are dropping every 30 seconds.

Is this the same AU from way back when? Gosh, that's a long running RP. Is there a main community where I can check it out?

Just wanted to let you know I'm officially intrigued by the RPG. Not entirely sure how it all works yet (because I've never really RPd on LJ before), and I see that you had a Sam before so I'm still trying to catch up on what that characterization of him was and his backstory. I found the Wiki and am doing my best to read up on what that Sam has done so far so I know his history in the game at least.

Aha! Excellent. I had found his personal journal, and his backstory on the wiki, but I couldn't figure out where he had left off. What's the next step now? The application on the wiki page?
