And now for something completely different...

So, after much LJ lurking, i decided it was time to contribute something.

It's been almost four months since I graduated and started my relatively short (but seemingly never-ending) search for a job. I was honestly willing to settle for anything that would give me a decent paycheck and enable me to move on to the next part of my life. However, I have to say that I've been extremely lucky in the past week or so and not only did I receive a job offer, but one that sounds like an amazing opportunity. I officially got hired with Camber, a government contractor to work with the national security division. Its an entry level position but the opportunity for advancement is definitely there and the benefits are amazing . Not to mention the fact that its in Centreville of all places, so my "commute" will be about 20-15 minutes, which is almost unheard of in NoVa. I start my inprocessing this Monday so hopefully all will go well and I'll catch on quickly.

Not to be mentioning school again so quickly after I just graduated but I am going to be starting my Master's degree in either the summer or fall of next year. Right now I am looking at GMU and American for foreign policy or international security. I have plenty of time to shop around for programs though, and prepare myself for the GRE.

The past couple of weeks haven't been without their sad times though. My love goes out to the Weigle family. One of my close friends lost her mom to cancer a week and a half ago. It was the first funeral and wake I've ever attended. It was heartbreaking to think about such a great loss. Mrs. Weigle received everyone in her house with kindness and generosity, may she rest in peace.

It has been surreal times recently, and I can't wait for what the next few months have to bring. I've been making plans to move out of my parents house in March of 09, which should be an adventure. A new job and heading back to school make me so excited! I have lots of fun things planned for the holidays already, including going to see the EPIC Trans-siberian Orchestra in Dec, which Chris was awesome enough to buy tickets for. Speaking of Chris...Not to be overly sappy, but he seriously is the most amazing man I have ever met. I've found potentially the only person on the planet who I find super attractive, athletic, and nerdy enough to geek out with. I mean who else would have dressed a a vietcong to match my rambo on halloween?!

Final Thoughts:
- my dog is adorable (shes curled up on my bed right now: SO SPOILED)
- my hair is bright red
- i need a hair cut
- i need new work clothes
- i love fresh coffee
- i have lots of books i want to read
- i have lots of things to get done before Monday

...i started listening to The WHO and Cream. "RICHARD, WHATS HAPPENING!?"
