[Not close enough, it seems. This may be only a nightmare, but Zack remembered how real his had felt. At least he hadn't been a kid.

When he finally spots Aerith, he races over to her, immediately drawing his sword out and standing protectively in front of her. The duck, that stupid duck - where was it?! Since he couldn't spot it right that second, he looks over his shoulder, his face creased with worry.]

[Zack was usually far more wary of things moving that he couldn't see, but this time, he asserted himself and went straight for the duck. Well, it looked more like a floating hood than anything. Any other time he might've laughed, but right now, he just wanted to destroy the thing.

With a roar and his sword swinging, he launched himself at the duck with a lot more force than was probably necessary. PREPARE FOR YOUR DOOM, RUBBER ABOMINATION.]
