That's what I thought, but there are a lot of animal-Heartless around here. [Apparently, this moogle is playing peekaboo with Riku's hair, which might be a little distracting. Riku seems to have given up on making it behave.]

Well, it can be quiet in some places, depending on where you go, the gorillas seem to be fine with it and can handle the Heartless at times... although never let them get your communicator.
