[Lili is wearing a grin that looks every bit like a cat who ate the canary when the feed turns on. She's been really busy working out her frustrations lately so she hasn't been around much, but this is too good to pass up.]

[If Golbez had realized that Rydia had mentioned to Lilisette the connection between him and Rosa and Cecil, he wouldn't have responded. But he doesn't, and that device she's using catches his interest. As does the mention of searching out Kain, though he won't comment on that one.]

No. Nothing to note. I've never wielded a device of this nature so I'm unaware of what it could do. Any ideas? Or should I inquire of one of your acquaintances--Cecil, Rosa, Kain, Rydia?

[The listing of names takes Golbez by surprise, and he visibly stiffens for a moment, until he remembers himself and forces himself to relax. If he hadn't been caught off guard at first, he might actually have been convincing about this.]

I am afraid you are mistaken. I have no acquaintances by those names. As for the device, I would have to examine it myself to ascertain more. I am unfamiliar with that technology.

Tell me--are you like Kain, who regrets his past, or do you intend to stir trouble here as well?

He wants to know how this random girl-child found out about this- and how she would know about his darkness, though possibly that could have been assumed simply from his appearance. Rosa certainly wasn't the source, considering that this girl harbored suspicions for him.]

And why should you have, child? I mean no harm to them. I want no connection to them.

Avoiding you is something that's entirely up to them. Though I wonder if they also wish to be separated from you. Kain believed they'd not want to see him and they did.

[She eyes him a little more closely.]

[Usually, he could understand that comparison, but at the moment, he can't help but be the slightest bit irritated by it. Kain is not his favorite person at the moment.]

You question my motives, and yet you think that they might want to see me. [It's a flat statement, but there's a hint of skepticism to it.]
