Where I come from the New Year is celebrated when spring starts.

Really? Maybe you throw confetti around when the first flower blooms?

Confetti seems like it would be a mess. It's more a time for visiting all of your friends and relatives. The yurts have to look nice for that.

I guess that would be messy! I never really thought about it.

Do you have a party when you visit people?

Well, the visits are generally short, because you have to see as many people as possible. So, not quite a full blown party.

Still, lots of little visits sound nice too! It must make you happy to see everyone again!

That's the point. The more people you see, the better.

I don't know. It wouldn't be quite the same when no one else celebrates it.

Hm...What kind of traditions do you have for the spring, since you celebrate the New Year in the Winter?

We do have a tradition in the spring where we all get together and go view the cherry blossoms. We usually have a picnic then too. We setup a picnic blanket and spend the day watching the blossoms. That is why I thought of having a picnic really.
I don't know where we could find any cherry trees on these worlds.

Ah...I don't know. I think The Land of Dragons has some, but it might be a bit dangerous for a picnic.

I do like the idea of a bunch of people gathering together.
