I had guite a blast this weekend. after work, i hannah, dannar, david,
joe( friend that lives in bastrop) and i all headed to austin to see
the sword, octopus project and the trail of the dead. while we were on
our journey we ran into some trouble with the fayettville sheriff. the
town had a population of 300 people, so there wasnt much, but i was
pulled over for going 69 in a 55 zone. once he asked for my shit my
temporary insurance had expired and my enpection expired the next
day...talk about rotten luck. i can get most of taken off by sending in
my insurace and all. so, we take a diffrent way than everyone was
thinkin. dannar was thinking of taking 290 all the way to emos ,and
meet joe there. instead we went to 290 to 71 and ended up very close to
joes house in bastrop, so we picked him up and headed out. so at 9 it
was time to rock! the black played first, then the sword followed by
octopus project then trail of the dead. i didnt like the black that
much so i didnt really take anything of them; but when the sword go up
all hell broke loose ( they were kindof like motorhead and ozzy
combined). anyways joe got on stage and bangin his head while rippin on
the air guitar and was up there for a good 30seconds. i really liked
the performance of the octopus project. they played a bit more than
they did in houston, and they have played most of the songs in the
previous shows; but it's still good to me and i dont seem to mind. i
basicly took most of the pictures on the sword and octo proj cuz during
trail of the dead people were pushing and shit so i wasnt going to
jepereodize my $430 digital camera; so instead divid and i held a wall
for others that didnt want to get pushed and all. after the show we
went to ihop and everyone was fucking weird; it was either a dyke or a
transectual or somethin. anyways, we got out of there at 4am and headed
to joes to stay the night and planned to leave at 9. that was pretty
unsuccessful. so we stayed there till 4:30 and jetted home.
