A/N: I swear I wasn't high on chocolate chip cookies when I wrote this. (I think).
His grubby little hands dropped the colourful roo-biks cube on the sandy box the moment his attention was stolen by the lone figure that was slowly walking away from the stuffed toy that was staring openly at him. He blinked once, twice, thrice as he watched Wufan’s disappearing figure and a small giggle escaped his mouth. This was his chance!
Five year old Luhan immediately scampered to his feet, nearly tripping over thin air and padded his way quickly towards the stuffed toy. His eyes sparkled in delight (and perhaps a little bit of mirth).
“Hi!” He exclaimed happily - the moment his eyes fell on the stuffed toy Wufan came with, Luhan already knew what he wanted to with the toy (and it had something to do with a certain little boy that he had so precariously deemed as his Baozi). And what Luhan wants, Luhan shall get. At this moment, he really wants to play with Wufan’s toy with Minseok! Another giggle left his mouth.
After sparing a minute or two, chattering mindlessly about anything, everything that he knew about Kim Minseok, Luhan let a gentle smile crawl on his face as he took the stuffed toy’s hand before giggling to himself. “Let’s go and find Minseokkie appa!” He chirped to the toy and walked around the playground to look for his Minseokkie.
“Min-seok-ie!” Luhan exclaimed happily (his soft voice going up a few octaves) when he spotted the familiar tuft of hair and nearly tackled the unsuspecting boy to the ground with how excited he was. “Baozi, look!” Luhan grabbed Minseok’s hand and tugged on it lightly when said boy seemed to be in his own world. “Baozi~” Luhan whined as he tugged Minseok’s hand once more.
“Xiao Lu,” Minseok was startled out of his train of thoughts and turned to look at his friend. “What’s that?” His eyes widened as he stared at Luhan’s bulging stomach. “Are you okay?” He gasped as he pointed to Luhan’s stomach. His eyes began to water - no, Luhan has a bad tummy ache! Sad face, sad face - he was going to lose his partner in crime! Now he’s not going to be able to sneak with Luhan to the kitchen to get midnight snacks whenever he feels hungry way past their bedtime :(
“Silly, Minseok!” Luhan placed both of his hands on Minseok’s cheeks, squishing his face lightly before giggling and cradling his stomach. “I’m preg-nant!” He exclaimed happily. Minseok furrowed his eyebrows and blinked once, twice, a couple of times.
“Pre-, Preg-, Preg-nant!” Minseok sputtered after a few unsuccessful tries. “Why are you preg-nant?” He asked as he tilted his head to the side. “Did you get it from the icky old babysitter?” He asks in genuine curiosity - all of the kids hated their babysitter: she was just too icky and too scary.
“No!” Luhan giggled before latching on to Minseok’s arm, sprouting every little thing his five year old mind could come up with. "And then we can be one big happy family!" He beamed as he stared expectantly at Minseok. Luhan slowly took out the toy from under his shirt and cradled it, in such a precious way as if the stuffed toy was an actual living being. "We should name our son!"
Minseok stared at the toy before looking at Luhan. He smiled widely and nodded his head as he stood beside Luhan. "Okay! What do you want to name him?" Minseok asked, playing along with his friend. Luhan blinked a few times before laughing.
"XiuHan! XiuHan!" Luhan chirped repeatedly and Minseok nodded his head. Luhan placed a sloppy kiss on Minseok’s chubby cheek and giggled when Minseok’s cheeks turned a shade of hue.
"Okay, his name is Xiuhan." Minseok cooed playfully at the stuffed toy. Luhan nodded his head in approval and threw one of his free arms around Minseok's body before leaning comfortably against his warm body. Minseok smiled and wrapped his small arms around his ‘family’. If Luhan was happy, so was he!
Not far from where they were standing, seven year old Wufan looks at the empty space where he had left his Ace in disbelief - flabbergasted by how quickly his toy had disappeared! “I could have sworn I left it here!”
