first real entry in a long time...don't fall out of your chair
ok, so let's see...
First of all, I graduated from College. Woot. I don't feel like I did, but I have pictures of me in the gown so I suppose I did. Perhaps it's the fact that I'm still working on my thesis, or that I'm still going to Scotland with the choir. Perhaps it won't hit me that I'm done until fall comes and I don't get to look forward to coming back to school and seeing all of my friends. Perhaps it will hit me when I start doing real world things such as paying rent and buying a car (which means paying for gas, insurance, getting a loan, etc). Who knows.
Secondly, I've officially begun moving out of my house. For those who don't know, which I'm assuming is most people, I am moving in with my sister and her husband. They recently got a house, and my paying rent will be helpful to them, and not living at home will be ridiculously helpful to me. I'm still doing the job search, but there are also more opportunities for me in the Ann Arbor area (they/I live in Superior Township, which is actually closer to Ypsi but near Ann Arbor as well). I will be inhabiting their basement, sectioning off a corner as kind of a pseudo-apartment. I get along really well with my sister and her husband so I think it'll be good, plus because I'm in the basement it'll be easy to give them their space. Now I just have to find a job and make friends in the Ann Arbor area...Oh, and get a car. Because a booming metropolis, Superior Township is not.
Oh, and back to the graduating thing, I got my final report card this weekend...and it was ridiculously good. I almost feel bad because I feel like I shouldn't have gotten an A in at least two of the classes I did. This unfortunately reinforces my crappy work ethic because I think it was more that the teachers graded me on my potential rather then my actual performance, but oh well. Oh, and my advisor gave me an A on my thesis even though I haven't turned it in yet. Yes I presented on it, but I'm pretty surprised he didn't just wait until it was done. huh.
To finish up, I'm currently in Alma for the week, then I'm going home for a few days and then I'll be traveling around Scotland with the Alma Choir. So if you're in Alma, hang out with me before Saturday. This includes karaoke night on Thursday. The end.
