I must stop procrastinating...later

What my cats are doing right now:
Stanzi-eating
Pandora-sitting in my bedroom window watching the wind blow things around

I didn't really do much yesterday.

I got up late...didn't do any of my homework. And then I went to work.
I made $101 at work last night though, so that was good. I love working in the bar because people who sit in there tend to drink a lot of expensive liquor and therefore are supposed to tip me more. Yay!
I also took a shot of tequila with our bartender and then later my boss made me a tequila sunrise while I was doing my sidework. And he also wanted me to sing for him, which I periodically do if I'm closing. But let me tell you: There are few things funnier than a Mexican man trying to sing Yesterday by the Beatles. He is so funny. I also got asked out by the charicaturist who's been hanging out at our restaurant lately trying to get business drawing our customers. I think he was really drunk by the time he approached me because he'd been there almost all night and he came up as I was clearing a table and was like "Billie, I was, um, wondering, if, um, you would maybe sometime want to hang out with me?" I just told him I couldn't. That was all. Oh, and also I had Barbara Reid as one of my last customers last night and talked to her and her husband for a long time. They're so very nice. I just saw her in Glass Menagerie at the U last weekend. Also, a former friend of hot bartender (before he disappeared never to be seen again) hung out at the restaurant all last night too. He's a student at the U also, but I don't remember in what...I know he's finishing a Spanish minor, and he's a Gemini. That's about all I know about him.

Oh, and the last thing about work: I've rediscovered how obnoxious a large group of teenagers can be. We have two high school girls as hostesses....and they're cool by themselves. And I really like Zach's sister. And there are other examples too...but the group of twenty screaming teenagers who infested the back of the bar last night reminded me why I hated high school. Thank god they weren't my table.

After work, I went to meet people at Grumpy's on Washington for Guzek's going away party. My excitement of the night came from the fact that a long lost Chris Gruba happened to be there, along with other people I haven't seen in a long time...but Chris is such a sweetheart and so fun...and it's seriously been like a year.

I was disappointed that Orith wasn't there.

After that, we went to the Dinkytowner and outside ran into a couple of other theatre majors, Brent Doyle, Katie Guentzel, and Lindsey Hinman...then went in to squish into a very small booth and eat. It was fun, but I'm really tired today as we didn't leave there until at least 2:30 and I didn't go to bed until 4am.

My roomie and I were supposed to go shopping today. I wonder where she went.

I hope Katie is okay in London...call me when you get back, Katie!

I should go do my homework. I think my friend Emily is coming over for dinner tonight and then we're going to go see a cheap movie and maybe go see if the Tim Malloys are playing at Kierans. I suppose I could look that up.

And if anyone's up for some good drunk bowling during my finals week, I am free Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night (the week after this coming one) until then, I am a bit busy with schoolwork (see to-do list from previous entry).

Another thing I did while I was AWOL: Went to a wedding shower for one of my two fraternal twin cousins (Chris and Brad)who are both getting married this year. Brad is getting married on New Year's Eve this year in Hudson, WI (about forty minutes from here). My mom thinks I shouldn't bring a hot date (def: a date which is not a real date...I have had many of these with Orith, and one was even a three-way hot date!) because she thinks my cousins will have attractive and/or interesting and intelligent friends. I beg to differ...my cousins will have hickish friends who list snowmobiling and deer hunting at the top of their list of favorite pastimes, and probably are addicted to chewing tobacco. Just not my type.
