[Here's that same boy again, sitting up straight and looking slightly awkward, scratching at his cheek somewhat nervously as the stray wisp of hair on his head seems to wilt forward- is that thing alive?]Haha... you can just ignore that last one. It definitely looked like I was pretty stupid, huh? Well- I have it figured out now, so you can just ( Read more... )

I would appreciate it. - What is this place, exactly? As you know it, I mean.

Well, it's called the City! It's some sort of separate world that traps us here. Unfortunately, no one has found a voluntary way back. I suppose it isn't terrible here, though the curses can be frustrating and even dangerous. Did you just arrive today?

Just "The City", huh? Like something out of some sci-fi novel...

- so what you're saying is. I'm stuck?

Yes. I'm sorry. I wish there were some way I could help you get home.

... how long have you been here? Stuck here.

[Multiple times...]

Were you doing anything particular each time before arriving here?

Reply

selenoscape May 20 2011, 07:31:50 UTC
No. Each time I was doing something different. I don't think there's any sort of trigger. It isn't your fault you're here.

stapletrauma May 20 2011, 07:35:33 UTC
It's not a matter of fault I'm thinking about, so much as...

For every odd happening... there's a reason.

selenoscape May 20 2011, 07:37:34 UTC
Oh, yes! I'm sure there's a reason. I just don't think it's a reason we had anything to do with. Some people think the deities bring us here, but no one is really certain. Others say we're here to prevent something, or to fuel the City somehow.

Those are some interesting theories.

[Deities... prevention... fuel...]

Which one do you believe?

[She pauses thoughtfully.]

I'm not sure. I suppose I don't know enough to lean one way or the other.
