You know, seeing
this got me thinking. That person may have, but there are some people here who don't even bother to pretend to be human... I guess that means that in their "worlds" they're normal? That no one's afraid of them, so that don't have reason to hide? I thought in most worlds, if you revealed something like that- being not human, I mean- you'd probably get yourself killed, even if you were really powerful.
In the stories it's always hard to do but there's always that one weakness- Just because someone's mostly immortal doesn't mean it's that hard to kill them- I mean. Okay, it might be hard because of what you have to do, but it's definitely not as impossible as you might think. Hence the "mostly"...
For example, even if someone regenerates, it's much harder to rebuild the soft bits, especially complex ones, like eyes, or the brain, of course. That would be troublesome. And just because someone regenerates at an extraordinary rate, if someone were able to injure them faster than their regenerative abilities could mend, the combined injuries would kill them before they could prevent that from happening.
... or something like that.
Sorry, I guess that was a bit gruesome. I meant to say something else...
