ahhh.
another cornerstone come and gone. i sound like ive been going for like nine years, but infact this was only my second. it happened so fast. and it all kind of blurs together. we got there tuesday. we walked around for a while. me and emily took some myspace shots. lol. we heard dome hardcore music from afar and decided to check it out. but right aswe got to the stage they stopped. it was just our luck. haah.
the next day, wednsday, we just hang around in 'the town', as we called it, and watched a bunch of random bands. mainly hardcoe. just the way i like it. but, both of these days, wee kept seeing these two crazy kids. one with dred locks and one with normal hair. haah. then they drove up really sow behind us and were all" we've been looking for you all day. wanna come swimming with us". we were like"uhhhh......sure." it was sooo sad. then we came back to the camp and met our new friends, bryan and emily. they are so nicce!they decided to come swimming too. thankfully. so we just chilled with them and kinda ignored the creepy guy. then bry and em left. the creepy guy was sooo weird tho. we left soon after. that ws the only time we went swimming, the lake water was gross and nasty. o, i forgot, that io was chilling at the fat calf stage when this kid was like talking to us and he had on a belt that i looooooooove. it was checkered and had a seat belt buckle thingy. and i said i liked it and he asked if i wanted it. i said yes and he sold it to me for ten bucks! ahh. i love it.
thursady. the first actual day. ahh. tooth and nail day. we saw a bunch of good bands. the fold, as cities burn, the chariot, dead poetic, project 86, and mewithoutYou. the fold. dannnnny cut himself and had blood all over his guitar, me and kait said he should have kept it on there becaus eit looked hardcore. he washed it off. jerk. lol. o my gosh was mewithoutYou good. we had to wait an hour, in a tent with little velalation for an hour to see them. tho we had been there practicly all day, this hour was the worst. there was no music or anything.. just the obnoxious voices of a few kids and you couldn't move. or breathe. but the concert. was amazing. i am in love with mewithoutYou.
friday. we saw foxhole and house of heroes. we also saw mumsdollar. o my gosh. if i could marry and accent, it would be the accent the the new zealenders carry. i am in love with the way they talk. we talked to them before (me, emily, and kati) and we just keept asking the questions so the'd keep talking. but mumsdollar was goood. the kid wjho they came with had an amazing best buckle. it said "whatwhat". earlier that day i think we saw a sk a band, too. sime kid tought us how to skank. it is soo fun. we got in the big skanking pit and had a great time. that night we saw still remains, copeland, and as i lay dying, too. they were all amazing. on the way back to our tent, kati, emily, and i may have had a little accident. we were cracking up. onmg. the whole way back. it was freeeezing too. we couldnt breathe. and we ere yelling at these kids on bikes who didnt dive us rides back to out camppsite. and they all looked like they wanted to have a rumble. they would randomly stop and all look at eachother and...idk. to us, early in the morning, late at night, however you look at it, it looked like they were ready to have a rumble.
saterday. we saw some other random bands and then we waited for a few hours to see anderlin, relient k, and switchfoot. we told ourselves we werent gonna wait, but we couldnt help it. we had nothing better to do, anyways. now. i saw anberlin on tour with relient k when they came to champaign a couple years ago. this was their first year on main stage. they were so good and entergetic. then relient k. to tell you the truth, if switchfoot wouldnt have been playing after them, i wouldnt have even waited to see them. i have seen them six times now. its pathetic. nut the most disapointing thing about relient k was that they used a xylaphone (sp) for in love with the 80s. not his classic little keyboard. o well, i dont even care anymore. switchfoot. o my gosh. i dotn casre how many people said they were boring or didnt' get into the music'. i loved them. their ne wcd is going to be great. jon signed my shoe. and he walked across the baracade, right where i was standing, for i was front row. haa. all i can say is their new cd is going to be excellent. and they better conme to chicago and i hope that someone will take me. after that, we just went back to the tent.
sunday. the last day. we didnt see to many people sunday. staple, mortal treason, kids in the way, still remains, random bands.....i think thats it. we just hung out on sunday.
i think it was saterday...maybe friday. who knows. that we did bryans hair so that he had a hugeish spike down the middle of his head. it was sooo funny. he looked all punked out. haah. i know i left out a bunch of stuff and this entry was pretty long. but thanks for reading. by the way. bryan. emily. if you read this. i neeeeed to talk to you guys. you left and we never said good bye and we dont knowyour email adresses!
thats another thing. emily and i noticed that we regret not getting a bunch of ppl that we met's emails. is that just a girl thing? thinking about how youll never see these people again and how youll miss talking to them all the time. like we met this kid adam who we called our stalker cause they were (him and his two friends) following us, it seemed. but they were really nice. and i want to talk to them. too bad we cant.
also, we saw o many cool vehickles. school busses (all pimped out of course), cars that were custom made to put couches in the back, tjhose crazy little busses...i cant think of their name..but i love them, cars with couches on op of them, crazily paitend normal cars, you name it, we probly saw it. and if you ask me, it looks like some of these kids had a little help from my man x to the z xzibit.
but cornerstone was so fun. i cant wait till next year. haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
