So tired... got about an hour and a half of sleep last night. God bless St. Patty's day!
It was quite strange... I do believe I woke up more drunk than when I went to bed, and I had stopped drinking a couple hours or so before I actually slept... quite strange really.
Here is the game plan for all those interested in partaking in the festivities tomorrow.
I am starting at Old Chicago with my padre for some dinner around 6 or so, and after wards am heading to the Falcon for a couple drinks. All those of age (and those who can get in while underage) can join up there. I will stick there for a bit and then kick it to Ira's/Jackie's/Riley's/Jung Hee's for the house party, where all of you who are still underage can join in the fun.
I hope some of you can come on out and join the fun.
On a side note, I got my PHIL 101 "quiz" (it was two short in class essays) back today, and of course got an 'A'. For those of you who might think that conceited... you should listen to some of the stupid ideas that people spout forth in that class... if I haven't already griped to you about the falling standards of what is expected knowledge. Anyways, what really made me laugh was inside my blue book written right at the top of my essay, first thing, it says "you should be a philosophy minor or major, you're a natural!" Which made me laugh because just last night Kevin and I talked about how glad I am that I'm not a PHIL major because of the stupid people inherent in the system, and how he has to deal with them because he is a PHIL major. It was fun times for all.
OH! And the next step in our philosophical journeys is the debate over the existence of God. This should be interesting, considering the pissed at the world bitter middle aged stupid more red than the stripes on the flag lady in my class, who I am expecting to start making stupid remarks that makes all decent God believing peoples look stupid by association... I am considering playing devil's advocate and standing against the existence of God... could be fun.
And someone already said something in class today that made me die a little inside.
"Well, you really can't argue someones faith with them, because that is their faith and they will believe in it and you can't really argue against their beliefs like this."
... since when was it not permissible to argue against someones faith?! Sometimes I do believe that the idea of "everyone is right in their own way" has spread to an infectious degree, and it needs to be stopped.
Ladies and Gentlemen... there is such a thing as a stupid question.
