So what are your thoughts so far?

I want one... Two actually.. :) but I'm also not done with exploring the world. I guess my ongoing thought it whether I can combine both dreams.

Well, that's the basic statement of the issue :) What are your more detailed thoughts?

I want to travel and I want to have a family with Shurik. Problem is most people view it like me wanting to be a ballerina and champion hot-dog eater at once. Bet though there are more people traveling with babies then the latter...

just do it, and come back in 9 months for proper living.

crazy for not having a baby now? I'm not pregnant yet btw, just thinking about it. A lot.
And what is proper living? wouldn't the baby benefit more from extra fresh air and both parents?

crazy for thinking of having a baby on the road?
baby will benefit from warm bath every night, good schedule and clean clothes.

that's what I'm saying. from what I see here, besides the hurricane that might wash us off the face of the earth now (but that can happen anywhere), I think I can give all those essential care items to the baby on the road.

You know what my thoughts on the subject are, so I won't go into them again :)

I think being pregnant and traveling would be easier than traveling with a baby, but then traveling with a baby may be easier than traveling with a todler.

I agree. But being pregnant seriously away from doctors is risky. Though if traveling within US it is probably not a big issue in this sense.

that's the problem, I get conflicting opinions on what's easier. many people are saying that traveling with a baby is easy, and some also say that a toddler on the road is not to bad either... I don't care what is easier though, I am more concerned about how will this be affecting the child on a psychological level. Some say children become more resilient, some say they become nervous wrecks due to the lack of stability. But what if your routine is a nomadic life style that does not lack a clean change of clothes, warm bed, and healthy food?

I think psychologically way more important is to be with the parents than following the schedule. The schedule simplifies the parent's life a lot though. Also, I do not see any problem with creating a schedule when you are traveling in a van. Carseat is a great tool for putting a child to sleep.

I agree. If I was to do it, I would take it a lot easier in the last trimester and try to stay in one place.
