happy birthday to me....
yesterday was the most un-birthday like day ever. it sort of felt like the simpsons episode where lisa has her birthday and everyone else is out (possibly the episode with michael jackson and the mental institution). the one where she sings to herself in a heartbroken voice "happy birthday oh unloved middle child...." ok, it wasn't as bad as that, but still. i spent most of the day watching tv and making appointments to do things like get teeth yanked out of my head. the most birthday like thing was that we went out to see the new pirates movie with loren and she paid for our tickets. presents i have received are: a t-shirt made by loren, a sweater that loren bought for herself then loaned to me but upon seeing that it fit me better than her she gave it to me, a set of 6 german steel steak knives that cael got for free from 2 lesbians.
someone called me at 8:45 to say happy birthday to me. the person was very surprised i was home and had intented on leaving a short message because she had to go to work. i have no idea who she was because i was mostly still asleep (although i didn't sound like it). i thought it was my mom, but i came home after the movie and there was a happy birthday message on the answering machine for me. the other person i thought it was was cael's mom, but she also called at a different point in the day. anyways, if this was you, thank you.
blueberry picking is over now and it was nice that i didn't have to work for my birthday. we are taking a short break then going back next week to weed the field.
