so the teaching certificate finally arrived. i faxed it to the school district to get the rest of the money that they're supposed to give me and to tqs. amazingly tqs sent my category card in the mail and i got it THE NEXT DAY (from vancouver). so we'll see if i have to make a big deal to the stupid awful payroll (or whatever) woman who doesn't want to pay me the full amount. she has no excuse now, but i'm sure she'll try.

started work for ruby yesterday. it was kind of neat. we did hiring--she did the first couple then she made me do the rest (except the very last). all of them are REALLY young. it's hard to interview a 15 yr old boy who will only shyly blush and say um, i guess so. what drove me crazy though was the fact that we had 4 no shows and 2 last minute cancellations. that's a total of 3 hours of me sitting around waiting to see if they're just late! you guys have probably seen me posting left right and centre about the job. ruby's freaking out because so far we don't have nearly enough people. quite a few of the kids said on the phone that they would be available for any shift but in person it turned out that they only wanted 5-16 hours a week. sheesh!

oh yeah, and i graduated on friday. it was boring. of course. and my family flipped out because i wanted to go to tami's bbq instead of the last minute family dinner out at a "fancy" restaurant. they kept trying to guilt me into going. it didn't work though; i'm too tough. but i was sort of forced to go over to my grandma's last night and as i walked in my dad whispered "you're in trouble". they're so damned demanding. maybe i'd want to hang out with them if they weren't all so awful.
