So, I've been down in Pensacola for about 3 weeks now, and I only have a week and a half left til I get to come home. I made it through boot camp, and I learned a lot. Boot camp was not too terribly bad. At times it sucked, but if you do what you're told, you'll be fine. I am now learning all about catapults and arresting gear on an aircraft carrier. I will be going to the USS Harry S. Truman in Norfolk, Virginia. I have to report on May 3, so from April 19 when I graduate, until May 3, I will get to be with my baby. We will be having a commitment ceremony on April 23, and we are both super excited. I love the ring that I got her, and I know she will love it even more than I do. I can't wait to hang out with everybody while I'm home on leave. The Navy's gonna pay me to eat, sleep, fuck, and drink...how fucking great is that? I guess I can't complain. My mother is being absolutely wonderful with the whole ceremony thing. She is taking care of all expenses except for the pastor and the ring. As far as the food, decorations, and other stuff, she's covering it all. She said she wants me to focus on finishing school down here and not have to worry about taking care of plans. I am so ecstatic about it, you don't even know. It means so much to me that she is supporting us on this. What she told me is that she knows it's important to me, and that she wants me to be happy. Well, I'm talking to my baby on the phone, so I gotta get off here, but I'll try and keep this updated. I love everyone and can't wait to hang out when I'm home.
