I hope you don't think I'm so obnoxious as to troll you on your own blog when you're posting a fiction bit that has partly to do with trolls. I would at least move over to my blog to do that. ;)

Trolling is perfectly acceptable. I only get really annoyed when it involves trying to sell me a product I already own.

Then you're a hellaciously magnanimous soul.

It drives me nuts. Amazon is constantly recommending things that I've already purchased from Amazon.

It's because they know you drop your books and DVDs and whatever in puddles. Of acid. They're trying to help -- that's what capitalists do!

Figures there would be some nefarious purpose. I just thought they were stupid. On the other hand, they've actually got me to buy a few books twice because I forgot I already had them.

"Get a rope."

When I moved, I found out I had two copies of Kristeva's Black Sun, Benjamin's Illuminations, Northrop Frye's Anatomy of Criticism, and Lucie Bock-Broido's book of poems Trouble In Mind.

I didn't even remember buying Black Sun once!

Amazon recs are fucking insidious is what I'm saying and I'm in the lynch mob as soon as you form it.

Every time I join a lynch mob it degenerates into arguments about salsa. It's really frustrating. Too corporate.

O god. My parents loved those ads. Those and the Polaner All-Fruit ones from the same era.

-- thank you for sending me to bed with childhood shame on my mind. I'm sure it'll get me up early.
