The Super Famicom came out a full year before the SNES and I begged for it for months; eventually, I received an Atari 2600.

They are pretty cheap in Japan if you don't mind a slightly beat up unit.

Recently I have found that there were many consumer goods manufactured to look just like the Famicom, including a tissue dispenser and an alarm clock -- though sadly I did not find a Famicom toaster.
