I once did a lap top performance in front of an audience that were mostly hippy-dippy trust-fund folk-band gypsies. Needless to say, no matter what I did, they would have been scornful. Not one of them tried to talk with me during the intermission.

I hadn't thought of a physical component. Sparklig, we always tend to rely on our dashing good looks. Perhaps to our detriment.

Anyways, I've got a mainly olfactory orientation & patchouli makes me sneeze and feel nauseous at the same time.

Me too -- I think I'm allergic to it. My eyes get puffy and irritated and I start sneezing almost immediately. Unfortunately a lot of people wear it as cologne.
