4th of July went from holiday to helliday...

Find out that the tire shop would be closed on the 4th, and no character work going on that day either.  A rare day off from both jobs...set to be relaxing & wonderful holiday.  Until I get home from work on tuesday, I get a bombshell from my brother saying that his son (along with his wife and 1 1/2 year old son) had to be out of their apartment by the next day, and that temporarily they will be staying at our place.  I don't know what the hell happened just that both of them lost their jobs & they were months behind on their rent...decided to wait until the last minute to say something....  *sigh*

Obviously I'm not happy at all with the fact that a baby is living in our house (albeit temporary) but obviously we can't just say "fuck it, live on the street & deal with it" either.  Fortuantely the move wasn't too bad, most of their "stuff" went into storage (since there is only 1 bedroom for all 3 of them to move into) so it wasn't an all-day job, just a couple hours.  Besides the laundry room, everything else on the bottom level of the house is my area...kid is not allowed down there at all; as long as that rule is in place, I'll just have to "deal with it" until my brother decides what to do.  So that evening I cooked up my tri-tip steaks, and made a couple of stiff drinks & hope that things don't suck any more than they have to.   :[= =]

Will be heading over to a vacation bible school at a church later this afternoon for an appearance (yes, the popular story of Daniel and the lions.)  I admit I'm sort of in the mood to just not worry about making dinner and just feast on some of the christian kids instead.  (as I quote from the song `Silent Night':  Holy infants so tender & mild!!)   :[= =]  (okay, I'm kidding about the cannibalism thing)
