So I got the system for my car put in yesterday...correction, half of my system got put in yesterday. All I have to say is that the clarity is ridiculous and the highs and mids are insanely good. Thank god the 1300 bucks I put into it so far was worth it, now I only have to go by a sub box, the subs, and another amp. But then again that's going to be about another 600 bucks so this is going to turn into a 2000 dolar system. Needless to say the best of anyone I know.
Right now I'm looking at two Resonant Engineering SE 10" subs powered by either a Avionixx 800.2 amp or a JL 1000/1 amp. The JL will have more power and will more than likely have higher quality but the AVionixx is about half the price, that's a decision I'm going to have to make soon.
This system, for anyone who knows anything about car stereos, is pretty ridiculous for a kid in high school also saving up for college. It's more of a sound quality system because I don't want to just have a loud system, but one that I like listening to. That's the reason I went with 2 10" subs versus something larger.
Here's the rundown on what I have on it now and future plans:
1. Alpine CDA-9831 $400
2. JBL 5x7 Components (Front) $230
3. JBL 5x7 Coaxials (Rear) $140
4. Alpine MRV-F340 (60Wx4) $400
5. Completely rewired car $500
FUTURE:
1. 2-Resonant Engineering 10" subs $340
2. Avionixx 800.2 (400Wx2) $350
3. Sub Box $140
4. Sub Wiring $200
