Curious..
I wonder how much dialect masking Stanford does.
Because I work for an answering service, and at least once or twice a day someone pops up from Mass, and most of those people have fairly thick accents.
Of course, it's ignorant to assume that everyone from Mass talks the same way. And I think it's one of the places where you have the most diverse accents.
But most of the places I get calls from are in the same area code as Westford. (I don't know this from looking up Westford's area code. I look up area codes to find out where the people I'm talking to are calling from. I am not obsessed. I am bored. And I don't sleep. Fuck you.)
It's because we answer for this truck driving school that advertises a lot in the north east, and because we answer for these people that repair tire machines and wheel balancers for auto shops.
Apparently, there are a lot of people who want to go to truck driving school in Massachusettes.
We also answer for Pop A Lock and George Straight's Fan Club.
And the United States Secret Service.
And tweeker.com.
Wouldn't you spend your time doing research and looking up area codes if you had to deal with that bullshit?

I should totally give out A1's 888 number so people can call me at work.
