The Cake Eaters DVD is out today. I got mine at Best Buy for 14.99. The DVD includes: deleted scenes, cast interviews, commentary (from Jayce and MSM), and behind the scenes footage, and the totally non-Freudian tag line of "Love is the frosting." That's pretty pimped out for an indie film DVD.
I kind of wish the cast interviews would've been more about the story and less about just Kristen (though it's really nice to hear all of the complimentary things people have to say about her with all of the shit she's taking from the crazy-bats Twilighters), but I understand that the DVD mostly got its marketing toward the aforementioned crazy-bats Twilighters, so that makes sense. Just. Isn't as much fun for those of us who aren't only in it for her. Like. I would've loved to seen some Elizabeth Ashley in there instead of Stanford trying to both speak linearly (which he has a hell of a time doings) and justify statutory rape (which he actually does a fantastic job of).
But that's just in the extras. The film is still amazing, you guys. Go forth and purchase.
