Okay, so, according to
Mary-Stuart-Masterson.com, The Cake Eaters is now called Bright Light of Day.
Dear MSM:
WTF?

Because, seriously? I mean. I guess you'd have to be an integral part of the creative process to really understand the decision, but The Cake Eaters says so much more about the film, to me. Bright Light of Day could be about.. Anything. It makes me think of environments as opposed to people.. It just makes me think about the sun being glaring. Which. Well. Maybe I've just proven myself wrong. I'm just kind of partial to The Cake Eaters beacuse it's a little snarky, and you know. I'm all about the snark. But.. Hell. It's not my film. It's just.. I've kind of grown used to hearing it called The Cake Eaters and now I must go and change all my tags.
Also: I suppose I should be looking for it in film festivals as The Bright Light of Day, then?
Anyway.. They said they got the quote from
Playbill.com, and I am sure they did, but I can't find it through the search results and I don't really have time to do anything comprehensive.
Anyway. The Cake Eaters is now Bright Light of Day.
Except I'm still calling it The Cake Eaters until, you know. I stop.
