OMG Tyra! Tyra!

Today was a pretty awesome day. I hung out with Frances. We went to the 3rd Street Promenade in LA. Pretty place. Far far too much money. I'm tempted to say that there were more BMW's there than at stanford. Tempted. We had sushi for lunch when we first arrived after the nightmare of trying the find parking. We stopped in at a couple of stores, shoes we can't afford and what not, and Sephora where I tried out foundation for the first time. I'm such a make-up virgin. Anywho. Leaving sephora we went in to Victoria's secret to look at and try on cute things of possible buy power when we saved up money and lost a little more weight. Cuteness. Upon leaving the dressing room we walk out and see Tyra Banks at the counter. She looked normal and kind of grumpy at the counter so I didn't want to interrupt. heh. I was nervous, and go a shot of her back. Great proof there. Tall black woman with red-ish hair. Yup. So tyra. So we leave the store in OMG mode, and I'm like "this is never going to happen again, let's just go ask if we can have a picture" so we go back and she's magically disappeared. So yeah. there went that chance. We left there and walked around abit more until we got to the end of 3rd street. Nothing surprising there. Frances then suggested going to the pier, great idea. I've never been. It's pretty, crowded, and very sunny. We walk along. See the arcades and street performers, and then decide to walk along the beach. Really pretty. Good plan. The water was freezing, but we got used to it. Dropped our shoes accidentally in the wet sand. Purses got wet from incoming tides. But we walked for and had a good time. We took the stairs back up from the beach. Oh lord, like 100 steps. I felt like I was going to die. But we didn't stop! Triumph over inactivity once again! We then headed back to the car and decided we'd wait until we got near home-ish to eat. We were going to eat at legends but the drive back starved us out and we ate at applebee's instead. Great Oriental Chicken wrap and even better Apple Chimi Cheesecake. All in all great 75 degree weather and one the best twenty bucks I've ever spent.
