[ooc: Hee. Tell Dean to chill. There may in fact be pie later. Also, strippers.
I'm running way behind at this point, but a Sam update/private post to Dean is forthcoming, along with some grilling of Mulder about the current ghost!John sitch. Once I get that out of the way tonight, I think it's safe to assume that the Winchester boys will put their heads together, and come up with a plan of action. Or inaction, depending.
Just a head's up, Sam's assistance is eventually going to be needed in Colorado (he'll be workin' the Demon Jesus mojo, and trying to keep it under Dean's radar), so what would you guys like to schedule in regards to tackling the next SPN ep?
Mulder-mun and I don't have a strict plot timeline worked out yet, but it looks like our crossover/possession stuff might culminate toward the end of next week, or over the weekend (2/7-2/8). Our lives are sort of unpredictable, so it's possible we might be dragging ass even longer than that. I'm just so bad with the advance planning thing. Either way, Sam won't be needed (except in an online capacity) in the 'Springs until the very end, and then not for more than a day or so. Do we want to try and fit 4x03 in before that, or just wing it?]
Hmm...well, how's this for a possibility for covering 4x03? Sam's not actually in it at all, yes? Except when we see him running off with Ruby to practice the Demon Jesus mojo? So if Jenna's cool with it, why don't we cover the ep before they go to the Springs, and run with the assumption that Sam's practicing his Demon Jesus skills so he can use them to help Mulder out?]
[ooc: Sam, also, is down with that. I'll just have him correspond back and forth with Foxy about the ZOMG JOHN WINCHESTER BACK FROM THE DEAD WTFBBQ deal, catch up on his overdue memes, and just generally fart around on the internet (and mess with Ruby), while Dean and Cas have awesome super mega happy fun adventures (not) in the past.
FYI, as far as ghost!John plot goes (just in case I don't end up with enough time for Sam to posit his theories to Dean, after he chats up Mulder), we were operating on the assumption that even though John was salted and flambeéd, he left himself some sort of mystical out (i.e. blood in his journal, or maybe he stashed some other kind of remains, just as a half-assed backup plan) for not-quite-returning from the grave. So, if we assume a little foresight on John's part, and combine it with Lilith's seal-breaking shenanigans and the recent Raising of the Witnesses incident, perhaps the veil between the two realms was thinned out enough for John to pop in for a visit. In the sorta-kinda-almost-maybe-sense.
Also, unbeknownst to Danny, one of his many collected artifacts really is a genuine spirit conduit, and since Sam and Dean likely have a number of very effective ghost wards in place 24/7, Papa Winchester decided to drop in on his old pal Mulder instead, and deliver a personal warning --nasty demon from Spooky's past, that John ran into during his brief stint in hell, who is now on the loose and out for revenge, of course-- and just generally tell everyone to look sharp, because there's a big ol' demon apocalypse on the horizon. A fact which may or may not actually apply to SG/XF 'verse, unless we muns work some stuff out in advance. That's down the road a ways, anyhow. And until I make it to Vancouver to kidnap Kripke and force him to tell me his plans, the future shall remain a mystery to all.
But John's catching-up time is limited, so after Daniel gets a chance to see for himself that holy crap, ghosts do exist (at least when they cross over from other fandoms), Daddy Dearest will be on his merry way.
So... now that I've ranted for a while, I guess what I'm trying to ask is: Will this scenario work for y'all? I mean, if Sam and Dean don't get a chance to discuss the details on LJ (I would've asked if we could have them log a convo about ghost!John, but I already KNOW I won't have time), can we go ahead and assume that this is the conclusion they eventually came to? Like an, 'Oh wow, it really is Dad, and here's how something like that could've happened, and hey, that's some pretty fucked-up shit, and aww darn, he's already gone, c'est la vie' kind of deal?
[ooc: If you need a ride to Vancouver for the kidnapping and/or a place to lie low a little ways across the border, I'm down for that. It wouldn't be the first time I'd planned a quick excursion across the border for the kidnapping of TV peeps.
Er...I mean...what?
But yes, that's sounds like it would work just fine.
[ooc: Okay, so looking at the episodes in question, ItB sort of flows right into Metamorphosis, which is when Dean gets all up in Sammy's face about using his psychic magicky stuff. So it might be best to wait until after the Mulder-plot is taken care of to do those eps.]
[ooc: Vala says hot demon chick can have him when he leaves again, she's just asking for while he's in Colorado Springs. Surely even a demon can understand the want of Sammeh for just one evening while he's around.]
[ooc: Demons SHARE? Who would've thunk? But yeah, one evening can be spared, I think. Dunno when he's gonna be in town, though. 'Soonish' is about the best I can do right now. Life is... hectic.]
