I have an issue that I'm hoping you can help me with. Two, actually, but they're related.
I have a renegade, heretic Sanzo priest on my hands. The same one who killed my master. The same one who has come far too close to killing Hakkai twice now for my comfort.
Anyway, the best I can figure is that he gave up his title of Sanzo priest at some point after Koumyou was murdered, but he kept his sutra- the one that governs death and nothingness. He then went underground, emerging several years later as a 'normal, human' biogenetic engineer. He found his way to Houtou Castle, where he was responsible for creating the minus wave that caused the Youkai in China to lose their sense of self. He slipped through our fingers in the final battle where we destroyed Guymaoh. And now, he's resurfaced again to incite the youkai into wiping out the humans once more. He's the reason Hakkai and I were called back to China. And he's put a bounty on my head and is using those closest to me to get to me.
Which brings me to my first request. I don't know if you've heard or not, but Hakkai and I are in charge of an orphanage here in Chang'an- one that takes in both human and youkai children. I worry that he may try something with the children as a means to get to me. And what talismanic and dharmic barriers I know will be ineffective, as he knows them as well. If Nii is either a common human strongly versed in the dark magics, some form of demon, or a combination of the two. I need to know what I can do to keep the children safe from him.
As for the second request, during our last mission, we found a raven's feather. Ukoku, or Nii as he is now called, had pitch black eyes and hair. His current followers have dubbed him 'the raven'. Kaiba has examined the feather, and short of finding that it has been modified somehow,and shows signs of DNA that were neither mine or that of a raven, he wasn't able to tell me much about it. Would you mind looking at the feather and seeing if you could discern anything further from it?
I'd appreciate any help you could give me, Sam. But I don't want you breaking any deals and putting yourself or Dean in danger. As it is, I already am, simply by asking you. If Nii finds out that you're a friend of mine, there's a chance he could come after you as well. I think it's only fair to warn you of that. So if you can't, or don't wish to get involved, I understand.
