this place in general is just awesome. the atmosphere is so great and relaxing. the people are extremely tolerant on both sides, very respectful, but if you're looking for a political atmosphere, you can definitely find it. as for competition, there are going to be people who are all about their grades and have no life whatsoever, but i think the majority of the people here are really chill and aren't competitive. on the weekends, there's always frat parties, and you can usually find pretty interesting stuff to do. and you can always go off campus if you're not too lazy. what you do on the weekends is basically up to you and how willing you are to go and find stuff. the workload is not so bad, depending on how hard you make it. if you wanna take 20 units a quarter because you like having stuff to do, that's cool, but if you wanna take it easier, you can do that too. it's not so bad. and finally, i think the general campus community is close and tight-knit. dorm atmosphere really adds to the community and the people here are wonderful. it's not too big, but then again, there are always new people to meet and talk to.

good luck!
