another good cop story

so i was heading over to ryan's house last night. turned on to route 20 from reserve road right by my parents house. there was a stop sign at the intersection. i didn't stop. i just slow down all the time because there's barely ever any cars coming. and plus i had some beers in my front seat and i didn't want them to roll all over. so i get onto 20 and it's been under construction for a while. the speed limit there is 40 because of the work zone shit. i'm traveling at an approximate speed of 80 - 85 mph. i get about a mile down the road and blow a traffic signal, because i didn't really feel like stopping. i happen to glance in my rear-view mirror and there's a pair of flashing lights. i thought it was an ambulance trying to get by so i went over to the left lane. the lights follow me. i'm just thinking to myself "oh shit....". i pull over and they pull up next to me in the left lane of traffic. they're windows down. they wanted to chat. i open up my door because the part for my window hasn't come in yet, so the winodw isn't fixed yet. they ask me about the winodw, i tell them it doesn't work right now.
turns out they had been following me with their lights on from the moment i didn't stop at the stop sign. they asked me if i knew there was a stop sign there. i replied with a "yeah, but i guess i just sort of zoned out and forgot or something". they were like "okay. well, we just wanted to let you know that you didn't stop at it". and then they drove off. they weren't mad, they didn't take up much of my time at all, they two of them were sort of good looking, AND, the big one, they didn't even tell me to watch out next time or make sure i stop at stop signs in the future. i thought that was awesome. they must have dug the hair. haha
