I've had a couple different pickups, heres my rundown.

Gibson Burstbuckers - Good tone, not too metal. Passive pickup. GREAT sustain, will keep the integrity of your guitar intact.

EMG 81 - The standard metalcore kid pickup. HIGH output without too much feedback. Active pickup which can get annoying. Makes the type of guitar you have unimportant as the active preamp in the pickup will sound the same regardless of the guitar.

EMG 85 - Same as above but it has more midrange to it, but its a preference thing, better for the neck than the bridge, but its rad for the neck too. I'd go with an 81 in the bridge over then 85.

Seymour Duncan JB - All around pickup. Passive. It does everything well but nothing particularly spectacular. It sounds good and really brings out your amp. Liked it alot.

SD Invader - Passive, but super high output. I get quite a bit of feedback out of it and its very mid ranged, but with adequate amp adjustment it sounds pretty good. I think there are better pickups out there, but i already spent the money. It's not bad, but there are better.

SD Jazz - A GREAT neck pickup for clean work and perfect for combination with the JB. Said to be Seymour Duncans favorite combination.

Remember actives sound good until the batteries start to die, so don't leave your guitar plugged in. You might have to do routing with an active pickup, if you do, don't do it, it will ruin the value of your guitar and possibly the tone. Feel free to keep hitting me up.
