HEAR YE, HEAR YE....Public Service Announcement

I need not remind anyone, I am sure, of the raging shitstorm that Nawlins has become over the past week or so.
But with all the political fecal matter flying around....
amidst all the pontificating, pointing, blaming and general yammering....
...and with all the people who are all too happy to claim the title of "victim-of-damn-near-EVERYTHING", despite their apparent unwillingness to take responsibility for their own decisions (yes, Governor Blanco, Mayor Nagin---I mean YOU, too)....
...it saddens me to think that perhaps we DO need to be reminded, from time to time, that there really ARE victims down there.
It's actually pretty easy to tell who the real ones are.
They're usually the ones who can't speak up for themselves.
Here's five of them. And I think it's no long stretch to say that there are probably MANY more where these came from.

These children were found on the Causeway at Interstate 10 in New Orleans.
Child # 1 Her name is unknown, however she is believed to be about 2 years old.
Child # 2 His name may be Neiamaya or Jeremiah. His date of birth is unknown; however, he is believed to be about 2 years old.
Child # 3 Her name may be Gabby. Her date of birth is unknown; however, she is believed to be 2 years old.
Child # 4 His name is believed to be Tyreek and he is believed to e about 14 months old.
Child # 5 Her name is believed to be Zaria. She is believed to be 3 years old.
If you know any of these children, please contact the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678 or the Louisiana Missing Children’s Clearinghouse at 1-225-342-8631. Please feel free to copy and post in your own LJ or LJ Communities.

P.S. Oh, yeah...I almost forgot...A personal note to Mr. West:
Sir, I fully support your right to say what you wish, when you wish. It's a right all Americans enjoy, for reasons I choose not to go into at this time.
Having said that....you probably make quite a bit more more than the President does. In fact, I'm certain of it.
Therefore, since you have been afforded the opportunity to speak your piece, I humbly request that you now shut up, stand aside, and let the man do his job.
You, sir, are nobody's victim. Please stop acting like one.
