run away

when I was a little kid, I used to run away to the neighbors' house all the time. It was probably a weekly occurance. I'd pack a little bag, sneak out, and just stay at their house until I forgot why I'd run away and went back home (this usually happened before dinner).

So now I'm not a little kid. And I still like to run away. all the time.

I snuck out of someone's apartment last weekend. (anyone who knows the cripple story...oh yea, his apt). It was rude and sneaky and childish. And the only response I could come up with. To call a friend and bolt out the front door while everyone was upstairs.

I do it all the time. I hide out in the house, I go run errands, even if I don't really pack my bags. I don't answer the phone, I ignore people, I lay low, change plans.

It makes me feel so much better. Pretty sure it's not the best method for handling conflict, but until I come up with something better, I'm packing my backpack. I'll be hiding out this weekend.
