Please consider this my resignation.
I knew that I wouldn't be able to remain here. The recent attack has made me realize that I've stayed far longer than I should have. We talked about something like this before, so you know why I can't stay.
I wish there was more that I could do. The crew should have their orders to clean up and repair the ship now, so everything is in hand for until you've recovered.
I wish you the best. Tell the others that I had something important to do. They'll understand.
