1. Name: Ciarra, but I'm known to many as Kyriel.
2. Age: 16
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? California, definitely. I've lived on this little island called Guam for almost all my life, but when I was little, my mom [a native of California] would take me to California for long periods of time. We used to have a house there, too, before we sold it a few years ago. I love the weather, the people, the shopping, everything about it. You could even say California more of a home to me than Guam is!
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? French Vanilla-colored walls, a couple of my favorite movie posters hung up everywhere, a laptop with Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and iTunes opened, a stack of sketchbooks and pencils, all my HP books and a few other good ones... It'd basically be my own little getaway. A place where I could be alone for a little while before having to go back to the hustle and bustle of my busy life.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? I want to say Umbridge, but that'd be a little cliched considering she was written to be hated. Instead, I'll say Cho Chang, though since Goblet of Fire was released in theaters, I've developed a small liking for her. In the books, however, she did nothing but annoy me. I mean, what purpose did she really provide other than to add more stress and confusion to Harry's life?
6. Is the glass half empty or half full? It's half-full, mate! :D I'm a very optimistic person. Ironically enough, everything I write literature-wise is angsty and depressing.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. "Forget regret, or life is yours to miss" from the musical RENT. It pretty much explains itself. If you regret anything, regret it in that moment, then be done with it. If you linger on it for too long, life will just pass you by.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? I consider my friends a big part of my family. They both come first in my book.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? Hm, that's a tough one. I'd have to say, and don't laugh, waiting for the ice cream truck to come by our house in California. I remember being maybe three or four years old and waiting with my babysitter for the ice cream truck music to come within earshot. I don't know why I picked this memory in particular... It just makes me happy thinking about it. Wow, that was so cheesy. :P
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? I'm a complete people-pleaser. Some of my friends have even called me a "welcome mat". I try to make everyone happy, sometimes forgetting about myself in the process. I do have bursts of selfishness, but who doesn't? Overall, I aim to please. *sighs*
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? Definitely. I couldn't believe that some students were actually skeptical about the whole thing. If it's for a good cause, and someone respectable is heading it, I'll join. Heck, I'll even volunteer to be a co-leader or something, especially if it's for a cause I truly believe in.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. I pretend nothing's bother me. I try to hide the fact that I'm feeling particularly stressed out, so no one has any idea. I may seem happy and complacent, but inside I may be seething. The only time I don't hold back my feelings is when talking to a really close friend, or under a friends-only entry in my livejournal.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? It really depends on the situation. I believe you need both to get along successfully. Compassion for others is important, as well as justice in any given situation.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? Definitely a child at heart. You may not be able to tell because of the way I write, but I still act as if I'm 5-years-old. I play Nintendo, watch Spongebob, and sing Veggietales songs at the top of my lungs. Oh, and I love ice cream sundaes with whipped cream and chocolate sauce and cherries and nuts and marshmallows and bananas and sprinkles and--
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? As much as I love Slytherin house, the Sorting Hat would most likely sort me into Gryffindor. I just have the boldness, the courage, and the love for adventure and risk that a true Gryffindor needs.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun! Sorry, no piccies of me. :)
