1. Name:
Leigh
2. Age:
19
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
Somewhere that gets a lot of snow, but not a lot of water. Ponderosa pines are always a plus. And sandstone. In other words, New Mexico. But not in the parts of New Mexico that I don't like, but in the pretty places, where there's nothing but desert and pine-scented mountains, and you can run forever without ever running into anything.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
There'd be a lot of good books in there, and a hot tea pot, complete with about fifty different kinds of tea, oak paneling and a cat.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?
That'd have to be Hermione. She really gets under my skin, but that's probably because she's enough like me that I identify with her far too much.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full?
Half empty. Because one-quarter empty is always better than one-quarter full, and I like thinking of things in terms that annoy other people.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
"Sweet are the uses of adversity, Which, like the toad, ugly and venomous, Wears yet a precious jewel in his head; And this our life, exempt from human haunt, Finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, Sermons in stones, and good in everything. " from As You Like It
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?
That's a tough one. I suppose I'd have to say friends, because I'm not exactly keen on my family. But, ultimately, I treat my friends exactly like they are family. I think of them in family terms. If I adopt you, it's forever. You can't get rid of me!
9. What is your favorite childhood memory?
I was walking with my older sister near my home, on a path that I've travelled many times before, when I came to a turn in the path that I couldn't remember. I rushed down the path, and found a really pretty pool that I'd never seen before. There was a waterfall going into the pool, and a stream that led away into the woods. The path ran up next to the pool, and then followed the stream. I desperately wanted to follow the path, but also wanted to show off the extremely neat place that I'd found to my sister, who'd been lagging behind. I rushed back down the path, and dragged her to where I thought the turn in the path was. There was nothing there. I've never found that turn in the path since.
That story is true.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?
It's probably my cynicism. I have a fundamental distrust of people and of their motives, and am convinced that everyone is a self-serving bastard on the inside. I know I am.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?
No. I'm far too cynical for heroism.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.
I generally close up, and become an antisocial shadow-lurker who speaks in angsty clichés.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?
Justice, ultimately. I've got a terrible, terrible sense of fairness about how things should work out, and I don't believe in second chances that I never got.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?
I'm definitely more childish than most of the people I know. I behave immaturely, and I never want to grow up. Peter Pan is my role model.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in?
Slytherin. Definitely Slytherin.
Well, maybe Ravenclaw if it was having a bad day, but I'd probably apply for a transfer to Slytherin anyway.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
Um...I have nothing recent, unfortunately, but if you want my personal rendition of what I look like:
I don't have fangs. And I am much less attractive. And my nose doesn't look remotely like that. But beyond these small details, it's relatively accurate.
