My Application =
1. Name:
Kelsy
2. Age:
fourteen
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
Liverpool, England has always been a fantasy dream home place of mine, but if I could live anywhere? I'd have to say...some random little cabin-like house in the forest with a nice little river that is in walking distance. That would be awesome. All shut off from the outside world. But I'd need company of course. My cats I suppose and a spouse. Possibly.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
ah well I suppose it depends on how I'm feeling at the moment. So I guess at the moment, my RoR would have a very warm fireplace with a big, puffy armchair and an endless supply of good books. And a big ole' pitcher of iced tea! Yes, sounds good.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?
I seriously took at least 20 minutes thinking about who my least favorite character is. I still don't really know. I suppose I have grown less fond of Seamus ever since Order of the Phoenix. And I'm not a big fan of Slughorn, either. I actually have a teacher who reminds me painfully of him. I have now become fixated on calling him Mr. Slughorn. It gives me a good laugh, at least.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full?
Ah one of those tricky questions...I suppose it is half full. But then again it depends on what exactly the glass is being emptied or filled with. And I would elaborate further with my great knowledgeable insight, but I wouldn't want to take up all this wonderful space.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
“Time flies like and arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.”- Groucho Marx. I guess it kind of represents how I've been noticing that all my spare time has been eaten up. And plus, the quote is random and witty. I love how it took me ages to understand the whole meaning of it. Yes, I am slow in the fields of wit. But I love it so.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?
Family, most definitely. When I saw this question I thought of this time when my friend told me a good bit of advice. “Family before friends, and friends before boyfriends”. She hasn't exactly stuck with her own advice, but that doesn't really matter at the moment. I hang out with my family the most, even if that is kind of sad. I just feel like myself when I'm around them. Probably because I can trust them. I have trust issues, I suppose.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory?
When my little neighborhood friends and I would run around in various backyards and pretend we were dinosaurs. And we would use rocks as our eggs and try and steal them from each other. Now that was fun. I also love the times I had with my oldest friend ever. Those are dearly missed memories of my childhood, right there. Ah, to be young again. (yeah and how old am I? exactly.)
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?
I am too quiet when I meet new people. I don't act my normal self until I feel comfortable enough with that certain person, and sometimes that takes quite a while, but then sometimes it just clicks right away and I'll be rambling on about things(aka harry potter) by the end of our conversation.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?
No, I would probably have been too shy to go to the first meeting. Unless I had a spurt of courage to join, because I get those at times. Spurts of courage, I mean.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.
Ah I'm dreadful. I'd most likely sigh a lot, and get frustrated. But that's more of how I am at school, and when the subject of my stress is the school work. But usually I'm pretty collected and calm and what not.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?
oh. Compassion, I guess. But there has to be a little bit of justice. Not all compassion. Because then it would be unbalanced and we can't have that now.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?
Ha, I'm very childish at heart. I still act completely silly while I'm with my siblings. It's quite fun, I enjoy acting silly with them. I know I don't have to feel like I need to impress anyone when I'm with them, and that makes me very happy.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in?
I figured it would be Hufflepuff. From what I've gathered from the books it seems I'd fit in there the best. What with me being all shy and what not. And plus I stick to my friends like glue, so I suppose that's where I'd be. But I have been contemplating Gryffindor for a while now. Its with either or I guess. Its all up to The Hat, he knows best.
16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
Noooo that is not a Harry Potter pillow case.
